Empowering a New EV Brand’s Global Expansion! We Joined an All-plastic Vehicle Interior/Exterior Development
[Summary] We successfully launched a cooperation project with a leading EV startup, deeply participating in the interior/exterior development of its brand-new export model (4-seat version), heavily engaging in DMU structural checks, tooling and process data review before mass production and providing optimization solutions, helping the product go to the international market.
[Lead] Aligning with the industry’s new four-modernizations and globalization trends, we reached cooperation with a well-known EV startup to provide interior/exterior structural design and engineering support for its all-plastic model exported to overseas markets, imposing extremely high requirements on lightweighting, modularization and international-standard compliance.
[Project Highlights]
EV-startup cooperation: first cooperation with a NEV startup, entering the high-end intelligent EV market.
All-plastic model challenge: providing dedicated lightweighting and joining-process solutions for the vehicle’s extensive use of plastic parts.
Export-model standards: design comprehensively benchmarking regulations and user habits across Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America and other regions.
[Project Details] This 4-seat premium compact car uses a large amount of plastic in its interior/exterior for ultimate lightweighting. We play a dual role as technical gatekeeper and solution provider: outputting professional reports from pre-mass-production DMU reviews; rapidly outputting modification solutions for risks such as uneven wall thickness, difficult demolding and accumulated assembly tolerances; and specifically optimizing weatherability, flame retardancy and ergonomics for export needs.
[Strategic Significance] Cooperation with the EV startup reflects our technical capability recognized by emerging markets; the export-project experience helps build a technical system adapted to globalized development.
