Active Grille Shutter (AGS) & Aerodynamic Kit
Active Grille Shutter (AGS) assembly development for a new EV startup model

We led the active grille shutter (AGS) assembly development for a new EV startup model. Starting from smart thermal-control and low-drag requirements, we completed the structural design and system integration of the actuator, blades and frame, ensuring smooth grille open/close and overall vehicle thermal-management efficiency under multiple E/E interface constraints.

--- Project Highlights ---
1. System structure & actuator integration: Completed the topological layout of AGS blades, linkages, frame and actuator motor, optimizing transmission ratio and motion envelope to ensure blade synchronization and smoothness across full open/close travel, eliminating abnormal noise and sticking.
2. Thermal & aero synergy: Working with the vehicle thermal-management team, we defined open/close strategies and angle MAPs for different conditions, balancing rapid cold-start warm-up with high-speed low drag to improve energy efficiency.
3. E/E interface adaptation: For the EV startup’s domain-control architecture, we completed the actuator’s CAN/LIN bus interface definition and fault-diagnosis logic development, ensuring functional safety and OTA calibratability.
4. Environmental & durability validation: We led stringent environmental tests (salt spray, high/low temperature, stone impact, car-wash water jet) for the grille assembly, validating blade sealing and motor life to guarantee full-lifecycle reliability.
