Off-road Kit & Body Accessories Integration
Development of a retro off-road style exterior kit for the Great Wall Tank 300

For the Great Wall Tank 300, we developed a complete retro off-road style exterior kit, covering a custom front grille, competition front bar, side steps and roof rack system. The project deeply fused hardcore off-road functionality with retro aesthetics, enhancing off-road capability while building a highly recognizable personalized visual identity.

--- Project Highlights ---
1. Retro styling & functionality fusion: The front grille adopts classic vertical-louvre elements to pay tribute to iconic off-road vehicles, combined with raised hood lines to strengthen the rugged character; the front bar reserves winch and light-bar mounts, balancing decoration with real-world utility.
2. Complex surfacing & tolerance control: For the wide fenders and side skirts with large curvature, multiple clay-model iterations and 3D-scan reverse engineering ensured uniform DTS (gap/flushness) between the accessory parts and the original body panels, resolving common aftermarket fitment issues.
3. Roof expansion system integration: We designed a high-strength aluminum roof platform and side ladder, optimizing the drag coefficient to reduce high-speed wind noise while meeting camping-gear load requirements and expanding outdoor usage scenarios.
4. Lightweight material application: Front/rear bumpers and fenders use high-strength composite materials (e.g., FRP or modified PP), controlling weight while ensuring impact resistance to avoid excessive burden on the vehicle suspension.
