Changan CS35 fuel vehicle main and sub IP design case compilation

We were responsible for the Changan CS35 fuel-vehicle main instrument panel and center console (CNSL) assembly structural design. On a mature vehicle platform, the project performed refined structural optimization and cost-down design for the IP and CNSL, achieving per-part cost reduction while meeting durability and assembly requirements.

1. Main & sub IP integration: Coordinating the structural layout of the IP crossbeam, CNSL skeleton and storage system to ensure crash safety and cabin space utilization.
2. Cost-down structure design: Through material substitution (plastic-replacing-steel) and local wall-thinning, significant weight and cost reduction were achieved while ensuring stiffness.
3. Assembly process optimization: Optimizing clips and guide structures reduced assembly-station man-hours and defect rates, improving manufacturing consistency.
4. Perceived-quality control: Establishing targeted plans for splits, grain and gas-assisted defects safeguarded the mature model’s quality stability.
