Instrument Panel (IP) System Structure Design
Full-process design and development of an IP and CNSL assembly for a major mainstream automaker

Adopting a remote-collaboration model, we led the structural design and development of the instrument panel (IP) and center console (CNSL) assemblies for a major mainstream automaker (excluding black-box vent parts). The team delivered the full process from styling data to production data, focusing on solving in-vehicle abnormal noise and gap/flushness issues, significantly reducing the client’s development cost while ensuring high-quality mass production.

1. Core structural design & integration: Responsible for the structural scheme of the instrument panel body, center console and vent grille (excluding black-box vent parts), optimizing internal layout and mounting-point strategy to ensure structural strength and assembly feasibility, achieving efficient integration of subsystems.
2. Full-process data conversion & delivery: Handling the conversion from styling CAS/A-surface data to final mass-production B-surface data, precisely controlling design changes to balance styling fidelity with engineering feasibility, enabling seamless transition from concept to mass production.
3. Quality breakthrough & NVH resolution: Targeted optimization for common IP-assembly NVH (abnormal noise) and DTS (gap/flushness) issues through structural rib design and tolerance analysis, effectively resolving assembly defects and improving overall perceived quality.
4. Remote collaboration & cost reduction: Leveraging a mature remote collaborative design mechanism for seamless integration and rapid iteration with the client team; optimizing resource allocation to shorten communication chains and substantially reduce the client’s design and management costs while ensuring development quality.
