Integrated high-power wireless charging system development for a new EV startup’s CNSL

We were responsible for a new EV startup’s CNSL (center console) integrated high-power wireless charging system development. The project integrated up to 80W wireless fast-charging modules within the compact center console, with a dedicated active cooling duct and intelligent thermal-control strategy, meeting stringent charging-safety and EMC requirements.

1. Ultra-thin high-power module integration: Embedding 80W wireless-charging coils and ferrite isolation layers within the extremely thin center-console section, balancing charging power with occupant foot space.
2. Active cooling duct design: A dedicated air-cooled loop directs heat outside the cabin, with NTC temperature feedback enabling dynamic power adjustment to prevent overheating derating.
3. Foreign-object detection (FOD) & thermal safety: Integrating metal FOD and over-temperature protection logic, passing on-vehicle temperature-rise and foreign-object tests to ensure usage safety.
4. EMC & structural reliability: Shielding and filtering were applied to coils and drive circuits to pass vehicle radiated-emission tests; reinforced brackets suppress vibration noise, improving perceived quality.
