Exterior facelift development for the Denza Z9 model
We were responsible for the Denza Z9 model’s exterior facelift development and design. Positioned as a high-end EV/hybrid, the project refined the front/rear bumpers, side skirts and multi-region license-plate bases, strengthening the brand’s sporty DNA while meeting global multi-region regulations and aesthetic needs.

1. Premium styling interpretation: Around the Denza Z9’s luxury-sport positioning, we strengthened features of the front intake, lamp-area surfaces and rear diffuser to enhance vehicle recognizability and premium feel.
2. Multi-region license-plate adaptation: We developed a modular license-plate base compatible with different plate sizes and mounting heights across China, Europe and the US, enabling one dataset to adapt to multiple regions and reducing global-compliance cost.
3. Aerodynamic optimization: Collaboratively designing the front lip, side skirts and rear diffuser, we streamlined underbody airflow to increase downforce and reduce wind noise at high speed.
4. Refined process & quality: Strictly controlling parting lines, grain and assembly gaps, combined with the high-end model’s perceived-quality requirements, we ensured seamless matching and a premium feel between facelift parts and the original vehicle.
