Built-in Active Grille Shutter (AGS) development and design
We developed a built-in active grille shutter (AGS) assembly, hiding the actuator and blade mechanism inside the grille frame to preserve styling integrity. Through precise blade envelope and transmission design, the project achieved smooth open/close and high sealing performance within limited packaging space.

1. Hidden mechanism design: The drive motor and linkages are concealed inside the frame, leaving no exposed structure on the exterior and maintaining the grille’s clean, premium look to meet the styling team’s ultimate aesthetic requirements.
2. Precise envelope & transmission: Within the extremely narrow frame space we completed blade rotation envelope calculation and linkage motion simulation, ensuring multi-blade synchronization without interference and eliminating abnormal noise.
3. High sealing & low drag: When closed, dual sealing lips provide excellent air-tightness, reducing HVAC heating and high-speed drag energy consumption; when open, airflow is smooth to meet cooling needs.
4. Durability & silent validation: We completed 100k-cycle durability and high/low-temperature silence tests, verifying stable performance over the lifecycle and meeting mainstream OEM stringent corporate standards.
