Bumpers/Side Body/Spare Tire Carrier & Global Regulation Adaptation
Facelift exterior assembly development and global adaptation for the BYD Fangchengbao model
We were responsible for the BYD Fangchengbao model’s facelift exterior assembly development and global adaptation. The project covered engineering delivery of front/rear bumpers, side body, spare-tire carrier and multi-region styling features, ensuring hardcore off-road functional attributes while meeting differentiated market regulations and aesthetic preferences across the Middle East, Southeast Asia and beyond.

1. Global styling adaptation: For different overseas markets (e.g., Middle East, Southeast Asia) with regulatory differences and aesthetic preferences, we performed regional adaptation design on front/rear bumper surfaces, air intakes and trim parts, balancing brand consistency with local identity.
2. Hardcore off-road function delivery: The spare-tire carrier and side ladder structures strengthen load capacity and anti-resonance design while ensuring convenient open/close in off-road conditions and easy cleaning in muddy environments, preserving hardcore off-road attributes.
3. Multi-region license-plate base: For varying national plate sizes and mounting-height regulations, we developed a modular license-plate base solution enabling one tooling set to adapt to multiple regions, reducing development and tooling cost for global models.
4. Facelift efficiency & quality control: Within a tight facelift cycle, through data reuse and modular design we rapidly delivered multi-region engineering data, rigorously controlling perceived quality and assembly consistency.
